First Day Back

It's the same phrase every year - "Where has the summer gone?" Today was back to school time for the Orchard Heights staff as we had our first official meeting at the Long Lake Center. The morning revolved around art/math integration and an update on some curriculum. After lunch we had some "bonding" time with different activities. Orchard Heights has a new principal - Nancy Pack - and our staff is ready and willing to start the new year fresh. One of the activities was to each say "2 stars and 1 wish" for our school. The common "star" mentioned by nearly every staff member was how we all come together for each other through good and bad times. What more could you ask for in a team?

Class lists are out and second grade is starting high. We're all sitting at about 25 kids with a week left before school begins. Hopefully that's it!
