Relay for Life - Team Caleb
The weekend of June 1st and 2nd brought Relay for Life to the South Kitsap High School track. Dave organized a Team Caleb in honor of our Little Peanut. We had 49 people who walked a total of nearly 317 miles during the course of the two day event! The highlight of the weekend for me was the opening and closing survivors' laps - very emotional to see so many people walking - especially our loved ones - Caleb, Kyle, Dad, Uncle Steve, Aunt Peggy, and Bethany. Our team raised over $3,000 for the very worthy cause of the American Cancer Society. We are already formulating ideas for next year!
Pictures:
1. Team Caleb (minus some team members who either left early or arrived later)
2. Kyle, Melissa, and Caleb (Kyle and Caleb in their Survivor shirts)
3. Ryan, Alyssa, and Kai came to support the team (they were gone before the group picture)
4. Luminarias
5. Emotional end to the final survivors' lap on Saturday
