School's Coming!

August means "back to school"...at least for teachers. I have to admit that I don't enjoy turning the calendar to that month because I see upcoming school meetings, inservices, etc. listed in the grids. I knew once I made my first steps inside Orchard Heights, that there was no turning back! Being an organized person (I get that genetically from both my mom and dad!), I spend a lot of time at school, home, and stores getting things ready to start a new year. I will have a student teacher this fall and Cassie has been a help already in the classroom. Next week begins a week of inservices on emergency preparedness, math standards, phonics and writing curriculum. Oh boy!!
