Apartment Hunting Success

With Kyle's daily commute to Bellevue becoming a bit of a nightmare, the couple recently decided to look for an apartment closer to his work. They researched places in Northgate, Southcenter, and Renton, narrowing it down to 5. While Kyle was at work on Wednesday, Melissa and I went into Renton to check on a couple on the list. The first 2 weren't that great, so we drove further up the road and she spotted a couple of others (not on the list) that she wanted to look into. The first of those, Fairwood Pond, offered the best deal and had a second bedroom and more square footage for a mere $8.00 more a month than the other one with only one bedroom. Kyle stopped by after work yesterday to turn in their paperwork and they were approved this morning. The pictures inside don't really do it justice. The kitchen is twice as big as it shows and there's a little pantry. The bedroom (not shown) has a walk-in closet and it has a full-size washer and dryer in the unit.

The one glitch is that it's not available until July 11th, a week before the wedding and a day they already had a lot planned. The apartment manager was going to see if there was a way for them to move in a little earlier.

This is an exciting time for them as they are about to start out on their new adventure! The Renton area offers so much more possibilities for employment (for Melissa), shopping, activities, and church choices. They also have friends living in Seattle close by.
