Mom, Melissa, and I hosted a baby shower for Alyssa yesterday (July 10th) at my home. Melissa and I were deciding on a theme and via the website hostesswiththemostess.com, came upon a "beach baby" idea. This was a perfect fit being that Kai means "ocean" in Hawaiian, with Ryan in the Coast Guard, and both Ryan and Alyssa's love of the water. It was so much fun planning this shower! Alyssa was blessed with many guests who came to share her happiness and Kai received such a nice variety of gifts. One of the pictures shows Alyssa with a blue blanket knitted by my mom.
The guests in attendance were: Kathy Reichstein (my kindergarten teacher friend for years who hosted a baby shower for Ryan when he was born!), Karen, mom, Gayle and Melanie Hancock, Aunt Peggy, Aunt Lynn, Teresa Fugier, Charlene Morrison, Ann and Christy Boyett, Stacy Givens, Esther Bulthuis, Melissa, Sugar Snell, Bonnie and Kaitlyn Corbin, and me.
